Hall of Fame

I write this post on my way to participating with my fellow teammates to be inducted into St. Pats Hall of Fame. This is quite an honor for the class of '71. I am proud to say that playing football for St. Pats always held a special spot in my heart as well as other parts of my body as I age. I never played organized football until coming to St. Pats. Joining the team freshman year under coach Buscarini was an amazing introduction to organized football. Learning a three point stand, blocking under a rope tied across the goal posts to keep our heads down or how about throwing full body blocks against the chain linked fence. What memories. Obviously he did something right as we went 7-0 that season. A significant number of our freshman team played together our senior year. We had our strong players but we had something else, excellent teamwork and the expectation to win. For me this was a special time and experience that carried with me throughout life. I look forward to sharing this honor with the class of '71.
